Twenty years later, Pike Place Chowder remains the hometown favorite in cookoff competition

SEATTLE, Feb. 2, 2016 – When Larry Mellum of Pike Place Chowder decided to enter his soups in the Chowder Chomp competition, January 30th & 31st, as part of the 2016 Seattle Boat Show, the reason was simple: The event benefitted Salmon for Soldiers, an organization that sponsors fishing expeditions for veterans, many of whom have debilitating challenges.
